Welcome to our website Orthodose.com (hereafter “the Site”). Our mission is to help physicians and other health professionals in the palliative treatment of oncologic pain. Our Site assists in this mission by providing free multilingual tools such as the Opioid Calculator, rescue dose calculator online information and even a mobile app to help health professionals provide better Palliative treatment to their patients.

The Orthodose and other software is made available free of charge but it cannot be distributed without the permission of the author, Dr. Vincent Vandenhaute, Cabinet Médical – Le Roseau SPRL, Avenue des Ombrages 1 – 1200, Brussels, Belgium.

In addition, the Orthodose name, logos, software and applications are protected by copyright. However, the content of Orthodose.com may be used for educational and non-profit purposes, provided the source (the website) is always acknowledged.

We value the privacy and security of the information that you share with us through our Site. It is important that you understand how we collect, use, and maintain your information. This Privacy Statement applies only to the practices of the Orthodose.com website, the Orthodose App its Owner/operator and its employees. The Site will not apply the provisions of this Privacy Statement to Business Contact Information or Aggregated Information.

Definitions
– “Personal Information” includes, your name, address information, personal e-mail address and URL, telephone number, account user name and password, as well as other similar information. We do not currently collect credit/debit card numbers or associated billing addresses and expiration dates, bank account numbers, or other related information.
– “Prospect Information” includes the same information as Personal Information except that Prospect Information is information that is submitted by an individual who is not the subject of the data submitted.

– “Non-Identifying Personal Information” includes information about you, including, without limitation, your Internet service provider, browser type, domain name, the Web Site that referred you to us, the web pages you request, the date and time of those requests, and entry and exit points.

We also collect information such as primary or additional languages spoken; specialized skills offered; years they have been in practice; insurance they accept from clients as well as any sliding scale or free consultations offered; their website link; and any other pertinent information, if such information is available either in the public domain, or is provided by the relevant organization. We reserve the right to modify any information we believe to be inaccurate or inappropriate, however, we do not have the obligation to do. Business Contact Information is not Personal Information.

Users to the public areas of the Site browse anonymously. However, our server does collect aggregate data, such as number of access attempts by page. The Site may also collect Personal Information from you, but only if you provide it to us voluntarily.

We may also collect information (“Personal Information”) from you before allowing access to certain resources and personalization features on the site, or to use certain services we may provide, but only if you provide it to us voluntarily.  You must provide this Personal Information to enter certain parts of our web site. During your use of our Site, we will collect certain Non-Identifying Personal Information to enhance the functionality of the Site and to make your access more convenient and efficient. We retain Non-Identifying Personal Information and use it to establish Site activity trends, monitor Site performance and improve Site design and functionality and for other business purposes. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a software program offered by Google to analyse, use and offer better a website experience. The information collected is aggregate information about how you use the Site and does not provide personally identifiable information.


Log Files

Like most standard web site servers we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.

All medical information on our Site is either created/written or supervised by Dr Vincent Vandenhaute.  Dr. Vandenhaute does not have any conflict of interest with any medical, pharmaceutical or para-pharmaceutical industry suppliers, manufactures or other personnel.

Collection and Use of Business Information

When you register to download or use our software or certain other portions of the Site. We may collect personal information such as name, email address, as well as professional information, such as your title and field(s) of practice and the demographic region in which you practice, but only if you give it to us.

Children

We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use Personal Information or Prospect Information from children under age 16. If you are under age 16, do not share personal information with us.

Non-Professionals

We do not knowingly collect information from persons who are not health care professionals. This site is not intended for use by patients and/or lay persons and is not a substitute for qualified medical care by a licensed physician.

Use of Personal Information

We may use and disclose Personal Information or Prospect Information as described in this document. In addition to the uses described in this document, we may use Personal Information or Prospect Information for purposes that include maintaining the Site, administration, administrative and analytical purposes, and information system management, or other similar uses.
We only collect, use, and disclose Personal Information or Prospect Information for purposes that are reasonable in the circumstances. We do not collect or keep credit/debit card and/or related information on file online or offline.
